Meet Ashley Park! Linguistic Horizons is pleased to welcome Ashley into our summer 2018 Internship in Peru and Nutrition & Natural Medicine in Peru programs! Ashley is looking forward to learning more about traditional Andean medicine in preparation for her career in healthcare. 

What are your future career goals?
I plan to pursue a career in healthcare, specifically surgery. However, I am also interested in traditional medicine.
 
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
I am involved in the Science Art and Wonder program that matches artist and researchers to present a piece of artwork that demonstrates the research at Emory. I am also a part of the Quave Research Group that specializes in ethnobotany.
 
What motivated you to choose Peru?
I would like to visit Macchu Picchu as well as travel in a South American country.
 
What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is “Being unrecognized is not the same as being nonexistent.” 
 
What is your favorite saying in Spanish?
My favorite saying in Spanish is “vuelve a la vida.”
