Meet Nathalie Sanchez from UCLA! This summer, Nathalie will be joining our five week Summer Study Spanish & Intern in Spain program! We can’t wait to welcome her here in A Coruña!
What motivated you to apply for this program?
“I can’t think of a better opportunity to improve my Spanish speaking skills. I love that I get the chance to continue my Spanish studies while exploring a whole new Spanish speaking country.”
What motivated you to choose Spain?
“I have never visited Spain, although I have seen pictures and heard stories on how beautiful the country is. I am excited to experience the culture, try many new different foods, and hopefully return with a few friends overseas.”
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
“I just recently became a part of artreachla at UCLA. It is a program that provides disadvantaged communities outlets for art appreciation and creation. It gives me the opportunity to utilize my education where it is most needed.”
What are your future career goals?
“I am currently going to school to major in art history with a minor in Spanish and Chicano studies. As a child I looked up to Indiana Jones and Lara Croft and said I wanted to be just like them. Hence, I have narrowed down my career options to situate myself in a museum, or out in the field as an archaeologist.”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“I would love to visit all the seven wonders of the world!”
What is your favorite quote?
“Be the change you want to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
