Meet Cynthia Adkisson! Linguistic Horizons is pleased to welcome Cynthia into our 10 week summer internship and Spanish immersion in A Coruña, Spain program! Cynthia is looking forward to improving her Spanish skills through immersion and participating in a veterinary internship!
What motivated you to choose Spain for your study abroad destination?
I grew up in a Hispanic community and used to be conversationally fluent in Spanish and really want to get back to that point and learn more about the culture in Spain, plus it is on the top of my visiting bucket list.
What are your future career goals?
I want to be a veterinarian who specializes in exotic felines!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishments are getting into UC Davis and being a valedictorian in high school.
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
I am a part of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at UC Davis and the worship group Catalyst!
What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is silly but it is, “If my future self didn’t time travel back yet to stop me from doing it, how bad can it be?”
