International Education Internship Abroad

Linguistic Horizons is looking for two interns for the summer of 2019. The interns will help our Program Coordinators run our summer programs in Spain and Peru. Additionally, the interns tasks may vary a bit according to their interests and company needs. One intern will be based in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco, Peru. The other intern will be based in La Coruña, Spain.

Internship in Spain Role Description:

Assist the Founder and In-Country Program Coordinator with our Summer Spanish language immersion programs. You’ll help with our Study Spanish Program and Internship in Spain program. The intern’s responsibilities will include: social media marketing, writing blog posts, helping to prepare for the program, attending and help with coordinating cultural activities, day trips and weekend trips, taking pictures and videos during the program. As you’ll be working under the company’s Founder, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about other aspects of the business. Therefore, this is also a good opportunity for students interesting in gaining entrepreneurial experience.

Internship in Peru Role Description:

Assist the In-Country Program Coordinator with running our Internship in Peru and Nutrition and Natural Medicine in Peru programs. The intern’s responsibilities will include: social media marketing efforts, writing blog posts, helping to prepare for the participants’ arrivals, assisting with running and planning for cultural activities, day trips and other excursions, taking pictures and videos during the program, and helping with English/Spanish translation as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Fluent in English and Spanish
  2. International Experience (may be study, travel, volunteer, intern or living abroad).
  3. We are open to students from all majors; however, some of the most relevant majors include: Education, International Studies, Spanish, Latin American Studies, International Business, Developmental Studies, Marketing, Business, Communications, International Education.
  4. Minimum Junior status.
  5. Knowledge of Spanish or Peruvian culture (a plus).

Compensation:These roles are unpaid. However, the following expenses will be covered: Housing, airport pick-up, cultural activities, some meals, transportation stipend for in-country public transit, international medical and accident insurance.
