Meet Emily from Suffolk University in Boston! This summer, Emily will be joining our ten week Summer Study Spanish & Intern in Spain program! We look forward to welcoming her here in A Coruña!
What motivated you to apply for this program?
“My main motivation for studying abroad is to become a better Spanish speaker.”
What motivated you to choose Spain?
“I chose Spain because I have been there before; and, I absolutely loved it. It has an amazing culture, and of course being there will help me work on my Spanish speaking skills.”
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
“Right now, I am a member of the Suffolk Mock Trial team, a senator in the Student Government Association, and a Politics, Philosophy, and Economics combined major.”
What are your future career goals?
“After I graduate from the Suffolk undergrad program, I would like to continue on to law school, most likely in the Boston area. I would then like to become an attorney. Some areas of law that interest me are family law and environmental law. I would also possibly like to become a judge.”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“Some things on my bucket list are to travel more (go to every continent), learn a new language, run a marathon, and do more things outside of my comfort zone.”
What is your favorite quote?
“You must always have faith in people. And most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself.” -Elle Woods
