We can’t wait to welcome Tristan from Texas Tech University this summer in La Coruña, Spain! Originally from Booker, Texas, Tristan is pursuing a degree in Spanish with a minor in Mexican American and Latino Studies. Get to know her in this interview!
Tell us more about you.
“I am a senior at Texas Tech University majoring in Spanish! I love traveling and learning more about languages and cultures.”
What is your main motivation for participating in the program?
“My main motivation for participating in this program is to become more fluent in Spanish!”
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
“On Tech’s campus, I am involved in Sigma Phi Lambda, The College of Arts and Sciences Ambassadors, Mortar Board, and the Spanish Club!”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“My bucket list is seeing all of the 7 World wonders, but I am most excited for Petra! Specifically for this summer, I am very excited to explore all of A Coruña!”
What are your future career goals?
“I hope to be a Spanish teacher after graduation.”
What motivated you to choose Spain?
“I chose Spain because I love the culture and food there!”
What is your favorite quote?
“My favorite quote is Deuteronomy 31:8!”
What is your proudest accomplishment?
“My proudest accomplishment is studying abroad on Semester at Sea!”
